Wei-Ting is a software developer and engineer from Taiwan specialized in computer-aided design and manufacturing, software development, and digital and robotic fabrication in the architectural domain. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Tamkang University (Taiwan), a Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Digital Fabrication from ETH Zurich, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Bath.
He has worked as a project consultant in both industry and academia, focusing on architectural geometric optimization at a façade consultancy firm. In November 2021, he joined the Chair of Digital Building Technologies at ETH Zurich as a scientific assistant, where he contributed to research on robotic 3D concrete printing with additive continuous reinforcement and multi-robotic fabrication.
From 2022 to 2024, he served as a scientific collaborator at the Academy of Architecture, Università della Svizzera Italiana (under Prof. Dr. Ena Lloret-Fritschi), in collaboration with the Chair of Physical Chemistry of Building Materials at ETH Zurich (led by Prof. Dr. Robert J. Flatt). His research centered on software development, robotic and digital fabrication, and automated manufacturing for the Digital Casting System.
Since January 2025, Wei-Ting has been a scientific researcher at Gramazio Kohler Research at ETH Zurich. |
