Philipp Eversmann is an architect with a wide range of interdisciplinary experiences through his collaboration in various large-scale projects. He has been project manager at architecture practices in France, Germany and the United States. Most notably he has been involved in the project for the Ministry of Defense in Paris (Nicolas Michelin, 2011–12) and of “La Canopée” renovation of the ‘Forum les Halles’ (Patrick Berger, 2008–12). He has also worked at the offices of Massimiliano Fuksas Architteto in Paris, Werner Sobek Engineering & Design in New York, Robert Marino Architects in New York, A+P Architekten and Otto Steidle + Partner in Munich. In his independent practice he has explored digital design principles in a range of different projects, competitions and small scale pavilions. He has directed architectural research classes at the EPF Lausanne, at the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris and recently at the TU Munich. During his studies at ETH Zurich and TU Munich he worked with the Chair of Prof. Ludger Hovestadt at ETH Zurich for research in informatic programming and digital fabrication. He is interested in establishing spatial connections by combining systems of associative geometry with effects of architectural perception and realising these through advanced fabrication technology. In December 2014, Philipp Eversmann will start at the NCCR Digital Fabrication as Head of Education. |
