Kunaljit Chadha is an Indian architect with expertise in large-scale digital and robotic manufacturing. His research focuses on the synthesis of non-standard material with digitally native fabrication techniques for architectural construction.
His early work experience at Menis Arquitectos in Spain helped him develop his curiosity for processing anisotropic materials into architectural tectonics. Between 2014-16, to further investigate this domain, he pursued his masters at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), Spain. Previously, he was a faculty and robotic fabrication expert at IAAC and FabLab Barcelona. Between 2016-21 he was involved with various teaching courses and research projects in the Advanced Architecture Group.
Kunal is currently a PhD researcher at Gramazio Kohler Research at ETH Zurich, focusing on 'Adaptive Building Strategies for Sustainable Earth-based Robotic Construction.' |
