Giacomo Montiani is a registered architect from Italy. He earned his Master’s Degree at the University of Florence in 2022 after presenting his Master’s thesis, “We Were 100,000: Proposal to Cover the Visarno Hippodrome at the Cascine of Florence,” which focused on creating a covered concert area inside the Hippodrome at Cascine Park in Florence.
Giacomo began his professional journey while completing his studies, collaborating since 2018 with the “Study of Architecture and Applied Acoustics” owned by Architect Carlo Cabone in Florence, where he specialized in applied acoustics in the field of architecture.
Fascinated by the latest design and building techniques involving computational design and digital fabrication, Giacomo enrolled in the Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Digital Fabrication (MAS ETH DFAB) for the academic year 2023/2024, which he is currently completing.
In addition to his MAS studies, Giacomo is working as an assistant at Gramazio Kohler Research, supporting Earth-based robotic construction research projects carried out in the Robotic Fabrication Lab.
