Elias Ettlin is an assistant at the Chair of Gramazio Kohler Research at ETH Zurich. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Film at Middlesex University. During his film studies, he collaborated with architecture photographers—an experience that sparked his interest in the built environment and led him toward architectural design.
His work focuses on how technology and computation can extend architectural thinking and making, which he explores through experimentation across digital workflows and prototyping in his personal practice. In parallel, he works with the Chair of Structural Design, where his CAD experience supports both roles and strengthens the connection between design intent and structural logic. |
