Marc Freese graduated from the ETH Lausanne with a Master of microengineering, with specialization in the field of robotics. He then started a long journey abroad, working four years as a researcher at Toshiba's Corporate Research and Development Center in Kawasaki, Japan, where he started with the development of the V-REP robot simulator. He spent another four years at Tokyo Institute of Technology, in Prof. Shigeo Hirose's lab, where he obtained his PhD. After another two years abroad (in Cubictek Corp., Seoul), Marc Freese returned to Switzerland where he later founded Coppelia Robotics GmbH, where he still works at development of the V-REP Robot simulator. |
